Wonderful news! I bought Vol 2 a few years back online for $2. Recently, I'd seen it go up to over $200! This stuff needs to be accessible.
ReplyDeleteDid you have something to do with this Charlie? I remember you saying at Harrietville a couple of years ago that UMP weren't interested. Great.
ReplyDeleteIs the format, simple written music or are chords shown too?
ReplyDeleteI didn't really have any involvement beyond encouraging people to continue bugging them about the reissue. Looking forward to seeing it myself. The format of the book is standard notation. A few of the transctiptions have piano accompaniment.
ReplyDeleteHey Glenn..I'm the guy that bought it for $200. D'Oh! But it's great to see these tunes back in print and I hope they'll be played (with piano!)
