Hi folks, in case you haven't heard -- There is a fiddlers' contest in Higbee Saturday evening. Higbee is a half hour north of Columbia and a few miles west of US63.  The contest is at the Higbee school, 101 Evans St., at 6.30 (register at 5.30).  Three divisions of competition: youth (15 and below), open (any age), senior (55 and up).  Five places paid to winners (first prize, $100).  Two accompanists allowed on stage.  Spaghetti dinner at 5.30.
